The Sea

The water off the beach is a sandy pool like area surrounded by a ridge of coral teaming with tropical fish. The fish themselves are very friendly as the villagers would not hurt them here, so that they are unafraid of humans.

Finding the Hag will require swimming up and down the reef, in the area around the hag the PC’s will notice that the plentiful and often friendly fish seem to be decreasing in numbers.

As they swim up and down the reef they will encounter a number of enemies, its important to remember that although many of the predatory fish such as Eels and Sharks would not be nearly so vicious in normal circumstances, they are being controlled by the Sea Hag and the Sea Devils, and so will attack humans as if the humans where an actual enemy.

A. The PC’s will be attacked 3 moray eels will come out of their holes in the reefs to bite the PC’s, tearing and ripping chunks out of them.

Moray Eels have 6 hp each and do 1d4 damage. Their AC is 15 due to their high dexterity.

B. A pair of hammer head sharks will attack the PC’s from both sides.

C. A hunting party of 4 sea devils will attempt to ambush the PC’s by hiding behind large pieces of coral. Alert PC’s will note that the fish avoid such Pieces of coral.

D. A pair of sea ogres, will come out of pits in the rock and coral to grab the PC’s. Because they will have been still within such pits the fish will have stopped avoiding them.

E. 9 Sea Devils (1 level 2)
This is a large party of Sea Devils that will be returning from a hunt, and so they will not be aware that humans have entered the waters.

F. The PC’s will likely notice that the number of fish has started to drop, this is the hags territory.

Upon entering the Hags home area the PC’s will be attacked by 12 Sea Devils lead by a level 4 fighter will attempt to ambush them, using great white shark and a tiger shark to distract the PC’s before moving in themselves.

This attack will be followed soon after by a brutish rush of 7 sea ogres lead by a level 4 barbarian.

Swimming towards the center of the area with no fish will eventually lead the PC’s to a hut like structure made of ripped up coral and stone. This is the Sea Hags home.

The sea hag will be found hiding in her layer where she is keeping the bloated dead bodies of some of those she has murdered.

She will be among these bodies pretending to be a corpse. The Hag will wait for the PC’s to search the home and start to leave. Once the PC’s have turned their back on her she will attack them from behind with the Sea Hags Shocker Spell followed by her gaze attack on whichever one she perceives to be the most threat.

This will then be followed by a use of her Net of Snaring on the PC that is getting closest to her.

She is a level 4 Sorcerer, with 10 more HP then a Sea Hag normally has.

She knows the following spells disguise self, alter appearance, sleep, and She Hags Shocker.

The Sea Hag Shocker spell is similar to the Scorching Ray Spell, only it uses electricity rather then Fire. This means that under water it acts as a cone attack reaching 10’ feet in diameter at its end.

The Hag has a Pearl of the Sirens, which she does not need, but its value is such that she would not want to just give it up. It is sitting in a small chest at the back of her cave.

The Chest itself is surrounded by 300GP which she took from the owner of the pearl.
