Fantasy Artists and Our Fantasy Pics

Jen Page’s Fantasy Pic’s

As a fantasy artist Jen Page excels at creating powerfully emotional lighting effects, and sharp yet subtle and soft imagery. Her fantasy art is elegant and contains a softness that allows her to mix warm and cold imagery with powerful emotional appeal.

The work of art Equinox is especially good at showing her range as it moves from a light to dark aesthetic. An intriguing choice of imagery in part due to its implied name as the equinox can be considered the time when day and night are equal or when one begins to rise over the other. Often ignored in art the imagery of the equinox offers many artistic possibilities, which Jen Page has explored well.

With her ability to keep her art both soft yet sharp and clear Jen Page has mastered one of the more classical techniques that seems to elude many digital artists. This old world skill found in a modern fantasy artist helps to show that we are beginning to come on a new renaissance of digital art, one of which Jen Page is very clearly a part.

 Steve Roberts Fantasy Pics

Steve Roberts Creates Fantasy Pictures that tell fantastical stories. This is due to the fact that his images have rich and intoxicating details, when one looks at the Sorceress Spell for example they can see the story of a sorceress, and a knight and the many dark men who seem to be bound to the Sorceresses will. The connection between these is made and hidden within a richly detailed texture that expands out from each figure. Such subtlety in his interweaving of effects gives Steve Roberts art a magical effect, one which can be seen clearly in the Mermaid and the Unicorn. This picture holds all the rich detail for which this artist is known, and is pulled together by a beautifully painted unicorn in the background echoing the primary figure of the piece.

Perhaps in a slightly different tone, Steve Roberts created Dragon Riders, still rich in the details that give his art a super real effect this image is unique in that it has none of the texture movements or echo’s of the other two pieces mentioned here. This is interesting because this work of fantasy art is allowed to be less magical and more believable, helping it to suck the viewer into the world it portrays.

 Perikins Fantasy Pics

J Perkins is a much more classily styled fantasy artist, Perkins images pull the viewers into an action. Because Perkins does not seem satisfied with intoxicating imagery as much as he seems to want to paint active and energetic scenes. This allows the viewers of his images to become a part of the worlds he creates. With his powerful angles and sweeping perspectives, and contrasting colors Perkins has the ability to push and pull his viewers eyes. This is especially done well with the picture Sea Storm which brings the viewer in from the water and pushes them up and over the boat like the rising swells surrounding it. The warm lighting of this scene helps to give it a feeling of danger and energy, which demonstrates Perkins ability to choose the correct colors to create any of his paintings.
