There is a
world where all things breath with magic, where the fortunes of man are
controlled by strange powers, creatures of worlds and energies that
seem
to exist somewhere between the material and the dream worlds. These
creatures the fairies are shrouded in mystery and strange behaviors
that bedazzle even the most astute of mortals, yet to truly understand
the nature of the universe one must come to understand the fairies
realm.
Ancient peoples believed that nearly everything had a cause that the fortunes and misfortunes, and even the strange behaviors of humanity occurred because of magical creatures that inhabited everything. Known by many names these faeries, fey, good folk, would help inspire artists, cause cows to grow ill, or make winter come early. Within RPG worlds these the fey exist as magical creatures both as part of the world of mortals and as part of their own world, one which extends through the cosmos to touch all planes. Hugely important to all magical worlds the fairies have been little touched on in the world of RPG's, until now. This book is intended to be a guide for learning about and discovering the world of the fey, how these creatures interact with each other, with mortals, and with the gods themselves. With this book the GM will be able to create new rich adventures, and NPC’s for the characters to overcome, meet, and befriend. PC's will also be given more options more ways to interact with the world in which they play, though new spells, classes, and ways of thinking of their surroundings.

This manual is intended to be a guide, a
new way to
view the worlds in which you already play, giving both GM's and Player
characters more options on how to deal with the magical worlds that
their stories and games take place. There are many creatures in here
some of which are complex and require a lot of creativity to run, just
as there are new magical systems that require flexibility. This is
because the fairies are truly mutable creatures, both powerful and
whimsical, encounters with the fairies can be run a little like an
encounter with dreams. To play these encounters requires a lot of story
telling on the part of the GM, and a strong desire to play in a
somewhat whimsical and ever changing world on the part of the PC's. One of the wonderful things about the world of fairies is that quests within this world can often be strange, seemingly non-epic in nature because of how whimsical they are, yet they can always have far reaching consequences. Such quests could include retrieving water from a well, plucking three hairs from a powerful trow, or bringing potential lovers together. Fairy quests will test more then just the PC's combative ability, they will test their ability to think, and adapt to their surroundings, for often times it is not enough to kill an enemy in the land of the fairy one must also outsmart them. Such quests will also require and reward knowledge and their ability to discuss, talk, and perform more then their strength of arms. For fairies respect performers, and to find what one is looking for one must know where to look, these two things make playing in the land of fairy a different experience where those who might be unable to survive in the normal material world can thrive.
