A vicious snake like fey with two arms but no legs, the Attorcroppe is a sly hunter who loves to devour his prey much more then they love to kill it. This desire to eat makes them all the more dangerous for they always focus their attack on killing only the weakest mortal before fleeing with their body.
They move through the woods quickly and quietly traveling in pairs and always searching for new prey. Normally only found in the oldest and darkest of forests they seem to have a special kinship with hags though what this may be can't be certain. At times the Attocroppes will venture forth for humaniod mortals are their faviorat food and haunted woods are not the best place to get them.

Combat: The Attocroppes usually begin the combat after observing a likely target for some time, by traveling from tree to tree unseen. Then they move ahead of the target and set snare traps intermingled with their illusions, to distract and slow the target.
Once they have entered combat they work very closely together with one distracting the opponent while the other ducks back into a tree.
In combat this fairy is dangerous as they focus all their efforts on a single target hoping to kill them so that they may eat. Once dead or too injured to fight back the feys will be relentless in getting their food, so that if the Targets companions try to carry him out of the woods the attocroopes will continue to ambush and set traps for those so burdened until they are all dead or they give up and leave the Attocroppes their food.

The attocropes bite is Poisonis and deals 1d6 int damage immediately and 2d6 int damage after 3 rounds followed by 3d6 con, str damage 1 turn later

Spells
Silent Image, Expedius retreat, Snare, Long Strider, Acid Splash (quickened), fear, true strike

Attocroppes unlike many other fey really do need to eat, if they do not they will starve to death, for this reason if food becomes scarce they will leave the darkest parts of the forest to find it. Starving Attocroppes have been known to gather in groups of larger then 2 but such groupings are unstable and often result in them trying to eat each other.
